Chris Cramer

I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW#135831) and Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LAADC) supervised by Jane DeWilde, LMFT#107315. I have extensive experience providing services in mental health, substance use treatment, and correctional settings. Over the past decade, I have served in both clinical and leadership roles, including Program Director positions overseeing behavioral health and addiction treatment programs. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions.

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change is possible for every person. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to explore the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may be contributing to their struggles. Together, we work to build insight, develop practical skills, and create lasting change that aligns with each client's values and goals. I am particularly passionate about helping clients discover greater freedom from the effects of trauma, addiction, and self-defeating beliefs. My work emphasizes not only symptom relief but also personal growth, resilience, character development, and the pursuit of a meaningful and purpose-driven life.

I utilize a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and strengths-based interventions. My clinical focus includes trauma recovery, addiction and recovery support, emotional regulation, self-esteem, anger, relationship concerns, grief and loss, and helping individuals overcome longstanding patterns that interfere with living a fulfilling life.

I can also incorporate spirituality, faith, values, and meaning into the therapeutic process when desired by the client. I believe healing involves the whole person, and I seek to help clients explore the deeper questions of identity, purpose, responsibility, and transformation in ways that are consistent with their own beliefs and goals.

In addition to my clinical work, I have authored recovery-focused curricula and educational materials designed to support individuals in developing emotional insight, accountability, and personal growth. Whether you are struggling with trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you gain clarity, build resilience, and move toward a life marked by greater freedom, connection, and fulfillment.
