Psychological Evaluations for Egg Donors & Gestational Carriers

Third-party reproduction is a meaningful and complex process that involves important emotional, relational, and psychological considerations. Psychological evaluations help ensure that egg donors and gestational carriers are informed, emotionally prepared, and supported as they move forward in the process.

At Mind and Wellness Center, we provide comprehensive psychological evaluations for egg donors and gestational carriers throughout California.

Fee: $1,000

Gestational Carrier Psychological Evaluation

A comprehensive evaluation exploring psychological readiness for the surrogacy process, motivation, relevant personal and reproductive history, support systems, relationships and boundaries with intended parents, and understanding of the emotional considerations associated with carrying a pregnancy for another family. Includes: Clinical and psychosocial interview, PAI assessment and interpretation, review of relevant reproductive and psychological history, partner participation when applicable, written psychological evaluation report, routine coordination with the referring clinic or agency.

Fee: $1200

What to Expect

Evaluations are approached collaboratively and respectfully. The purpose is not to create an intimidating “pass or fail” experience, but to thoughtfully assess psychological readiness, identify areas that may warrant further discussion, and support informed participation in third-party reproduction.

The clinical interview is completed with a licensed mental health professional and is followed by standardized psychological testing. Findings from the interview, available background information, and psychological assessment are then integrated into a written report.
